Thrips Identifikation - vom Ei zur Art
[Identification of thrips - from egg to adult]
Mitteilungen der deutschen Gesellschaft für allgemeine und angewandte Entomologie 14, 71-75
Abstract: A molecular method for thrips identification based on restriction fragment length polymorphism of the ribosomal ITS1 and ITS2 regions is described. Analyzed PCR-products and fragment lengths build the contents of an SQL-database as an update of our existing ThripsID CD ROM "Pest thrips of the world". The method enables species identification of single specimens of all ontogenetic stages including late embryos.
