Microdochium majus (Wollenw.) Glynn & S.G. Edwards, 2005

The fungus is closely related to Microdochium nivale, but with wider, predominantly 3-septate conidia. It causes also snow mould, seedling blight, head blight and foot rot of small grain cereals.
