Mepraia spinolai (Porter 1934)
This species of kissing bug is found in arid and semiarid parts of Chile. It is a vector of Chagas disease. Typically, it lives in stony hills, rock crevices as well as in nest of birds and mammals. It can be also associated with domestic animals and has be occasionally collected from human dwellings.
