Leptochloa (weeds) P.Beauv. - (sprangletops)

This genus of grasses is widely distributed and includes between 30 and 40 species. Several of them are considered weeds in rice fields. Other crops may also be affected. Leptochloa chinensis is an important rice weed in tropical and subtropical parts of Asia.
