Lecanicillium psalliotae (antagonist/entomopathogen) (Treschew) Zare & W. Gams (2001)
This fungus has been described as a pathogen of plant-parasitic nematodes, some insects, as well as a mycoparasite of some some plant pathogenic fungi. The taxonomic position of L. psalliotae is uncertain. The genus Lecanicillium has been synonymized with the genus Akanthomyces, but Lecanicillium psalliotae does not appear to fit in that genus, according to its genetic structure (Kepler et al., 2017).
