Ilyonectria europaea A. Cabral, Rego & Crous, 2012

This fungus is one of the causes of black foot disease of grapevine in Europe. It also infects other plants like Actinidia, Aesculus, or Phragmites (Cabral et al., 2012). Macroconidia are cylindrical and usually have 1 septum, with a size of around 23 x 5 µm. Microconidia are elongated and aseptate with a size of 14 x 4 µm. Chlamydospores are spherical, around 7–14 μm in diameter.
