Hyposoter didymator (parasitoid) (Thunberg, 1822)
This Ichneumonid wasp is found in the Mediterranean region and eastwards up to Central Asia. It has been also introduced into other regions like Australia (e.g. Murray et al., 1995). The hosts are the caterpillars of various species of Noctuidae. In Europe hosts are, for example, the tomato looper (Chrysodeixis chalcites). Helicoverpa armigera or Spodoptera species are also suitable hosts.
