Hypomyces rosellus (Alb. & Schwein.) Tul. & C. Tul. 1860 - (cobweb mould of mushrooms)
This fungus attacks cultivated mushrooms like Agaricus bisporus. PDA cultures of H. rosellus consist of white, cottony, aerial mycelia with the colour changing from white to yellow and finally to pink. The red pigment spreads into the agar. The conidia are hyaline, cylindrical to ellipsoidal, and mostly 2 or 4-celled with a size of around 20 x 10 µm.
