Huntiella moniliformis (Hedgc.) Z.W. de Beer, T.A. Duong & M.J. Wingf. 2014
This fungus has been recorded as causing trunk diseases on various trees in tropical and subtropical regions like eucalypt or cacao (e.g. see Heath et al., 2009). However, under the previous name, Ceratocystis moniliformis, several varieties had been described and C. moniliformis was later regarded as a species complex which was subsequently resolved through molecular analyses. Therefore, some of the older reports before 2010 might have referred to different species.
