Heracleum (weeds) L.

The genus includes more than 60 species of herbs, mainly found in temperate regions. Several are important and poisonous weeds like giant hogweed. The members of the genus have large flower clusters arranged in umbels and other morphological characters. However the taxonomy of the genus is under revision and recent studies rely more on the DNA structure of the species.


Currently, the following species have been entered into the system:
