Fusarium tricinctum (Corda 1838) Sacc. 1886

The fungus infects cereals and various other crops, causing root rot, wilt and blight diseases, including head blight. The macroconidia have 3-5 septa and are fusiform and slightly curved, about 20-30 x 3-5 µm in size. The microconidia are elongated to oval with a size of around 6-8 x 3-4 µm. Spherical to elliptical chlamydospores are produced in chains.
