Geraniales

This order of eudicots contains more than 800 species, including several important weeds like redstem filaree or Carolina geranium. The members are mainly herbs with few shrubs or small trees. Typically the species have composed leaves, flowers with 5 sepals and 5 petals, as well as 5 carpels fused until the tip. The fruits are usually capsules.
