Erysiphe palczewskii (Jacz.) U. Braun & S. Takam. 2000
This powdery mildew fungus has been reported from North America, Europe and Asia. It has been mainly described as infecting the Siberian pea-tree (Caragana arborescens), but has been also described from other hosts like Robinia and Sophora (e.g. Xiong et al., 2017).
The chasmothecia are subglobose, dark brown to black, 143 (90–160) µm in diameter, with irregularly polygonal cells, equatorial appendages, 9–12 per chasmothecium, which are straight, hyaline, smooth, dichotomously branched, with some morphological variation of the apex and measuring 253 (230–312) µm (L. Vajna, 2006).
