Erysiphe elevata (Burrill) U. Braun & S. Takam. 2000
This powdery mildew fungus has been reported from North America, Europe and Asia as infecting a variety of plants from different families. These include Catalpa, Eucalyptus, Plumeria and others. For example, Catalpa bignonioides is a common host plant.
The chasmothecia are between 80 to 130 μm in diameter with six to eight appendages, 100–340 μm long, and containing 4-7 asci. The asci have a size of 49–61 × 28–43 μm, and are short-stalked or sessile, each with 3–5 ascospores (14–25 × 10–15 μm in length), see Erper et al. (2019).
