This fungus is widely distributed and infects mainly crucifers causing powdery mildew diseases. For example, it can be important on oilseed rape (canola). The conidiophores are cylindrical with 3-4 cells and around 60-100 × 10 µm large. The conidia are produced singly, elliptical and with a size of about 30-50 x 15-20 µm.
