Erysiphe aquilegiae DC. 1815
The fungus is widely distributed and causes powdery mildew diseases on columbines (Aquilegia) and other ornamentals. Both sides of the leaves are affected. E. aquilegiae forms lobed appressoria. Conidia are cylindrical to elliptical and produced singly with a size of around 40-50 x 15-20 µm. Ascospores are ellipsoid and about 20-25 µm long.
