Dryophthoridae

This family has more than 1000 species and is often regarded as a subfamily of the Curculionidae. It contains some of the largest weevils, up to 10 cm in length, and various serious pest species. The rostrum has a medium length and the distinguishing characters of the family are the structure of the mouthparts like the labium as well as the form of the antennae.
