Chrysocharis pentheus (parasitoid) (Walker, 1839)
This small wasp is widely distributed and an endoparasitoid of leafminers. The host are often fly larvae from the family Agromyzidae (e.g. from the genera Liriomyza or Phytomyza), but Lepidopteran leafminers are also parasitised. Among others, C. pentheus has been studied as a biological control agent against Liriomyza sativae.
