Cassida piperata (weed bioagent) Hope, 1842
The beetle is found in eastern Asia. It is oligophagous and feeds on several plant species from the families Amaranthaceae and Chenopodiaceae, e.g. Chenopodium album and Alternanthera sessilis. The larval development lasts around 3 weeks.
