Weed bioagents - natural enemies

This section includes various beneficial organisms and biological control agents which are harmful to weeds like insects or diseases. Many have been deliberately introduced from other countries against invasive weeds.

The following groups are currently included in the system:

• diseases of weeds (74 species)
• herbivorous insects feeding on weeds (127 species)
• other biological control agents of weeds (e.g. mites or fishes used for aquatic weeds) (6 species)
