Calliptamus wattenwylianus (Pantel, 1896)
This grasshopper is mainly found in the western Mediterranean Region and is one of three species of Calliptamus causing outbreaks there (see also Calliptamus italicus and Calliptamus barbarus). However, it is comparatively sedentary compared to the other two species (Blanchet et al., 2012).
