Burkholderia cepacia (ex Burkholder) Palleroni & Holmes (1981) - (sour skin of onions)
This bacterium can infect a large range of plants, causing various blight and rot diseases. For example, it often causes bacterial rot and sour skin on onion bulbs. Some strains are also human pathogens, while others promote plant growth, see Burkholderia cepacia (antagonist).
