Brachypodium sylvaticum (weed) (Huds.) P. Beauv. - (slender false brome)
This species is native to Europe and Asia and invasive in North America where it has been grown as an ornamental. Most infestations have been reported from north-western U.S. where it forms dense clumps, mainly in forest environments. The grass grows to a height of 50-100 cm. The inflorescences usually have 5-10 spikelets. Spread occurs through the dispersal of seeds.
