Betaflexiviridae

The family includes plant viruses with flexuous and filamentous particles which are not enveloped, 600-1000 nm long (sometimes more) and 12-13 nm wide. The genome consist of a monopartite and single stranded RNA molecule, about 6.5-9.0 kb large. They have a polymerase similar to that of the carlaviruses which distinguishes the family from the related Alphaflexiviridae with a polymerase similar to the potexviruses.
