Barley yellow dwarf virus SGV (BYDV-SGV)

This virus is part of the complex of barley yellow dwarf viruses (BYDVs). It is mainly transmitted by the cereal aphid Schizaphis graminum and has been also called Schizaphis graminum virus. Apart from barley, it infects several other cereals and grasses (e.g. see Bekele et al., 2018). It belongs to the Solemoviridae, but has not yet been assigned to a genus.
