Armillaria sinapina Bérubé & Dessureault 1988

This fungus has been described from North America and is wide-spread there. It has been also reported from other regions. It is associated with various forest trees, including conifers and broad-leafed species, like poplar, birch or hemlock. In general, it is regarded as weakly pathogenic, but has been also associated with tree death. Fruiting bodies are formed at the base of the host trees.
