Aphelinus abdominalis (parasitoid) (Dalman, 1820)
The wasp is a polyphagous aphid parasitoid, e.g. it is effective against the potato aphid (Macrosiphum euphorbiae) or the glasshouse potato aphid (Aulacorthum solani). It is often used in combination with the gall midge Aphidoletes aphidimyza and is commercially produced. The species is a koinobiont endoparasitoid, which means it allows the host to continue its development while feeding on it.
