Anopheles trinkae Faran, 1979
This mosquito is a malaria vector and is found in north-eastern parts of South America from Colombia and Venezuela to Bolivia. An. trinkae was previously regarded as a synonym of Anopheles dunhami, but has been shown to be a separate species by Lounibos et al. (1998).
