Anopheles dunhami Causey, 1945
This mosquito species is found in South America, mainly along and north of the Amazon river up to Panama. The species is regarded as a malaria vector and can carry Plasmodium falciparum or Plasmodium vivax parasites. Molecular studies have indicated that A. dunhami is a complex of several closely related species (e.g. Scarpassa et al., 2016).
