Anopheles torresiensis Schmidt, Foley, Hartel, Williams & Bryan, 2001
This mosquito is found in Papua New Guinea and northern Australia. It breeds in fresh water swamps and streams. A. torresiensis is closely related to Anopheles farauti and had been previously referred to as A. farauti species 3.
