Anopheles sawadwongporni Rattanarithikul & Green, 1987

This mosquito is common in parts of Thailand and can be also found in neighbouring countries. It is considered an important malaria vector in some areas. A. sawadwongporni has been reported to feed on cattle and to bite humans, mainly during the first half of the night (Muenworn et al., 2009). Taxonomically, it is closely related to Anopheles maculatus.
