Anopheles letifer Sandosham, 1944
This mosquito is found in south-eastern Asia from Malaysia to Vietnam and south to Indonesia. It is regarded as a malaria vector in Malaysia, biting humans during the night. A. letifer breeds mainly in acid water of forest swamps and pools. It is closely related to Anopheles umbrosus and both species have been recorded from similar habitats.
