Anopheles irenicus Schmidt, Foley, Bugoro & Bryan, 2003
This mosquito is found in the Solomon Islands where it has been collected from fresh water pools. It is not anthropophilic and not considered to be a malaria vector. A. irenicus is closely related to Anopheles farauti and had been previously referred to as A. farauti species 7.
