Ambrosiodmus Hopkins, 1915
This genus of ambrosia beetles includes around 100 species. Many of the members are native to tropical parts of Asia, Africa and South America, but a number have been accidentally introduced into other regions. The species are usually polyphagous.
The genus is closely related to the genus Xyleborus. The adults are typically between 2 and 4 mm long with males being smaller and flightless. They have a brown, sometime black colouration.
