Alphabaculovirus spofrugiperdae (entomopathogen)

The Spodoptera frugiperda multiple nucleopolyhedrovirus is widely distributed in populations of the fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda) and causes natural epizootics. The occlusion bodies persist in the environment and can be isolated from soil (Rios-Velasco et al., 2011).
