Aedes bromeliae (Theobald, 1911)
This mosquito is found in sub-Saharan Africa, often near houses. It is anthropophilic and the primary vector of yellow fever in eastern Africa. It breeds in tree-holes, leaf axils and in artificial water containers. A. bromeliae is part of the Aedes simpsoni s.l. complex.
