Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki (entomopathogen)

This variety of Bacillus thuringiensis is very common and is being used against pests from certain Lepidoptera families (e.g. Plutellidae and Tortricidae) and is produced commercially. It contains the endotoxin Cry1A.
