Trichogrammatoidea armigera (parasitoid) Manjunath, 1972

This wasp has been described from India as an egg parasitoid of Helicoverpa armigera. It is widely distributed in tropical parts of the Americas, Africa and Asia. Apart from Helicoverpa, several other Lepidoptera have been reported as hosts. Field releases in Niger have demonstrated the possibility of using T. armigera to increase the egg parasitization rate of the millet head miner significantly (Karimoune et al., 2020).
