Limothrips denticornis Haliday 1836 - (barley thrips)
This thrips is widespread and feeds on the leaves of grasses and cereals. The main host plants are barley, wheat and rye, where it infests the leaf sheath. The feeding damage on the flag leaf can result in a substantial reduction of the crop yield (Larsson, 2005).
