Picromerus bidens (predator) (Linnaeus, 1758)
This polyphagous predator bug is widely distributed in temperate regions of the northern hemisphere. It is considered to be introduced into North America. It is being studied as a biological control agent against pest insects from the orders Lepidoptera, Coleoptera and Hymenoptera. The adults are brownish, 10-15 mm long, with two lateral spines on the pronotum.
