Rottboellia cochinchinensis (weed) (Lour.) W. Clayton - (itchgrass)

Itchgrass is an annual grass of pantropical distribution and a pest of graminaceous crops. In particular, it affects rice and can reduce its yield by more than 50%. The plant produces a large number of seeds which can survive for up to 4 years and can emerge from soil depths of up to 8 cm.
