Zygogramma suturalis (weed bioagent) (Fabricius)
The beetle was introduced into several countries against common ragweed, for example into southern Russia in the 1960s to 1980s. The releases were very successful and eliminated large infestations of the weed. However, there are several reports that the populations of the beetle declined over time and the impact on the weed was reduced.
