Zelus Fabricius, 1803
This genus of predatory bugs cotains around 60 species that are found in the Americas. They prey on a variety of insects including many pest species. These range from Lepidoptera to whiteflies, aphids and other bugs. The genus is characterized by various morphological features like the presence of a metathoracic scent gland or the cubitus of the forewings forming a quadrate cell.
