Watermelon mosaic virus (WMV)
This virus is widely distributed and, apart from watermelon, also infects other cucurbits, like cucumber, melon or squash. It was originally described as Watermelon mosaic virus-2, but was renamed in 2000. At that time, Watermelon mosaic virus-1 was considered to be Papaya ringspot virus W (PRSV-W).
