Verrallina Theobald, 1903
This genus of mosquitoes is found in southern and eastern Asia as well as in northern parts of Australia. It contains around 100 species. Several of these bite humans and some are considered to be disease vectors like Verrallina funerea. The genus is closely related to the genus Aedes and has been regarded as a subgenus of Aedes until recently.
