Truncatella angustata (Pers.) S. Hughes 1958
This fungus is wide-spread and causes, trunk diseases, cankers, twig dieback, leaf spots and fruit rot. On grapevine, infections result in necrotic leaf lesions and discoloration inside the trunk (Arzanlou et al., 2013). It has been also reported to cause diseases of young conifer trees like needle blight, dieback and stem girdling (e.g. Ivanová, 2016). The conifer diseases were attributed to Truncatella hartigii which is now regarded as a synonym of T. angustata (Bonthond et al., 2019).
The conidia are four-celled, sometimes slightly curved with brown median cells, and apical, branched appendages. Typically, they are about 17-19 µm long and 7-8 µm wide.
