Triatoma klugi Carcavallo, Jurberg, Lent & Galvão, 2001
This species of kissing bug is found southern Brazil, typically in rocky areas with few vegetation. It feeds mainly on birds, rodents and larger insects like cockroaches. Under laboratory conditions, it can transmit the Chagas disease pathogen, Trypanosoma cruzi.
