Tomato infectious chlorosis virus (TICV)

The virus infects tomato and some other crops in various regions and can cause economic losses. It is related to Tomato chlorosis virus with a similar host range and similar symptoms. The symptoms depend on the host plant and include yellowing and reddening of the leaves. Interveinal chlorosis might develop, starting with the lower leaves, while the veins remain green. The virus is transmitted by the whitefly Trialeurodes vaporariorum in a semi-persistent manner. TICV has a bipartite, single-stranded and positive-sense RNA genome.
