Thyanta Stål, 1862
The genus contains around 40 species of stink bugs found in different parts of America. Several are considered agricultural pests which attack a variety of crops. The genus is characterized by the lack of a spine or tubercle at the base of the 2nd visible abdominal segment. The ostiolar canal (the exit duct of the stink gland) is elongated.
