Sympherobius pygmaeus (predator) (Rambur, 1842)
This species of brown lacewing is found in Europe and neighbouring regions. It is regarded as a beneficial natural enemy of small insect pests of fruit trees like mealybugs. In some areas is an important predator of the citrus mealybug (Planococcus citri), e.g. see Yayla & Satar (2012). The adults are small, typically 3-5 mm, including the wings.
